Icarus — I named this after a crater on the moon. I'm trying to brush up on my digital painting. I used a few textured brushes (some customized in Photoshop and some I made from my photos) for the cloudy, dusty nebula in the background, but didn't detail it too much because I wanted the focal point to stand out more.

This is an imaginative piece, an image in my mind that I tried to bring to life in Photoshop. I might take the PSD out later and add some more noticeable stars, but that's it. This took forever! :)

I resized this down from 3000x2000, so I may have sacrificed some detail in doing so. Sorry about that.

This is also featured in my shadowness gallery. Favs and comments are much appreciated, but I do apologize ahead of time if I'm unable to thank everyone. I try, I really do!

I don't have the discriminating eye that many Deviants do, so all I can say is beautiful work. If it's over-pixelated, great job over-pixelating it.
